Storytime: Underwear

Opening Song:

Hello, friends x3
It’s time to say hello

from Jbrary

Word of the Day: Underwear

To say “underwear,” you begin by making two upside-down Ls just inside your hips. You then close your fingers as you move them outwards to the outside of your hips. You can see this sign in action here.

Rhyme: Five Pairs of Underpants

Five pairs of underpants hanging outdoors
One blew away and then there were four
Four pairs of underpants blowing in the breeze
One blew away and then there were three
Three pairs of underpants, each a different hue
One blew away and then there were two
Two pairs of underpants hanging in the sun
One blew away and then there was one
One pair of underpants, Just one pair!
Put it in your drawer so you’ll have a clean pair!

Song: I’m Getting Dressed Myself

I’m getting dressed myself
I’m getting dressed myself
Hi-ho, I’m growing-o
I’m getting dressed myself.

Other verses:
I put on underpants…
I’m slipping on my socks…
I’m tugging on my shirt…
I’m pulling on my pants…
I’m tying up my shoes…
I’m ready for the day!…

Rhyme: Now You’re Getting Dressed

First put on your underwear, underwear, underwear.|
First put on your underwear. Now you’re getting dressed.\

Stick your arms up in your shirt, in your shirt, in your shirt.
Stick your arms up in your shirt.  Now you’re getting dressed.

Pull your pants up to your waist, to your waist, to your waist.
Pull your pants up to your waist.  Now you’re getting dressed.

Wiggle your toes down in your socks, in your socks, in your socks.
Wiggle your toes down in your socks.  Now you’re getting dressed.

Slip your shoes on, tie them tight, tie them tight, tie them tight.
Slip your shoes on, tie them tight.  Now you’re getting dressed

Now you can go out and play, out and play, out and play.
Now you can go out and play, You got yourself all dressed.\
YES!
