Opening Song: Hello, Friends
Hello, friends x3
from Jbrary
It’s time to say hello
Word of the Day: Toy
To say “toy” in ASL, you’re gonna do the sign for “play,” but with a “t” for “toy” instead of a “y.” To do this you’re going to first make the letter “t” with both hands by tucking your thumb between your pointer and middle fingers in a closed fist. You’ll hold your hands up, palms facing away from you, and then gently shake your hands. You can see this sign in action here.
Rhyme: Six Little Teddy Bears
Six little teddy bears sleeping in the bed,
Three at the foot and three at the head.
One little teddy said, “This bed is TOO full!”
So he grabbed the blanket and started to pull.
He pulled and he pulled and he pulled some more,
Until one little teddy went BOOM to the floor!COUNT DOWN UNTIL…
One little teddy bear sleeping in the bed,
Zero at the foot and one at the head.
This little teddy said, “This is not right!
I don’t want to sleep alone tonight!”So…
One little teddy bear sleeping in the bed,
Zero at the foot and one at the head.
This little teddy said, “This bed is NOT full!”
So he put out his paw and started to pull.
He pulled and he pulled and he pulled some more,
Until one little teddy climbed up from the floor!COUNT UP UNTIL..
Six little teddy bears sleeping in the bed,
from Storytime Katie, with edits by me
Three at the foot and three at the head.
One little teddy said, “This is JUST right!”
So six little teddy bears said, “Good Night!
Song: My Toys
I have a cuddly teddy bear;
from Handley Regional Library System
I take him with me everywhere.
A big balloon that I can blow
And watch it grow and grow and grow.
My rag doll flops upon my bed,
My tricycle is painted red.
All the little girls and boys
Think it’s fun to play with toys.
